only half the internet exists in kansas
most of my usual "oh hey internet here are my life details" spaces don't seem to load right now but i just wanted to say that so far i love lawrence, kansas. everyone smiles back, especially the sorority girls who go to target in PACKS. luv u kansas

i wasn't really expecting anything either way, i was just happy to get out of nyc for a while and see someplace new. but i am very charmed by it!

for a wedding! our friends jenny and dan are getting married on a horse ranch. since we didn't get to have a real summer vacation this year (doug quit his job in may and has been doing freelance stuff since while looking for a new job) we decided to make a trip of it and come out a day or two earlier than everyone else. we found a very nice and inexpensive bed and breakfast to stay at that is walking distance from the HUGE-ASS YARN STORE and the HUGE-ASS RECORD STORE so basically we are both the happiest people in all of kansas right now.
