Cleaning silver jewelry
I have a lot of silver jewelry (sterling silver and "fake" silver). It all needs a good cleaning.
I have silver cleaning cloths which work for the bold, all-silver pieces. But some of my pieces have stones or other intricate details that the cloths can't clean.
So, what options do I have? I tried some concoction that I found online (it involved tin foil, water, Dawn, and other ingredients heated over a stove) but it really did not work well.
I have seen sonic cleaning devices, but do they work? Or should I resort to scrubbing with a toothbrush?

Sample question?
Ok since when didn't MAC give out samples? I was in a freestanding store a few blocks from my house yesterday, buying a shadow and a lipstick, when I asked for a sample of this pigment.
The MUA got nasty and said " oh we never give out samples, but I'll do it for you"
But then she goes to another MA, whispered something, and never even came back to finish the sale.
Are ALL F.S like that?

humidifier water treatment
i got a humidifier for xmas. i havent gone out to the store to get the water treatment stuff. is there anything around the house i might use? our water is slightly hard. is the treatment for hardness or just keep it from turning into a bacteria/mold orgy? if that's the case, i do have professional 35% hydrogen peroxide i used to treat the kids' pool over the summer.
or should i just go to home depot and get the real thing?

Didn't make it through as much as I'd expected to, but I think it's a solid list. Man, a year is a long time.

Pigments list
I haven't been keeping up with any of the new collections since ummmm... Cult Of Cherry... or Hello Kitty... maybe? Whatever, but it's been a very long time. I know I've missed several pigments recently and the pigment collector in me is having a spaz attack. Sooooooooo, does anyone have an up-to-date pigment/glitter list?? Or if you could tell me what pigments/glitters have come out since summer 2008? I would really appreciate it :-D

foundation!! :)
I hope you guys don't mind makeup "newbies" posting in here but I just wanted to share my excitement!
I impulsively stopped by a Mac counter and asked them to match my foundation, out of curiosity. First she did just a spot on my face, then asked if I wanted to see my entire face with it. After that, I couldn't leave the store without it! I knew my current foundation was a bit "off" but I didn't know how good it would look when I found the right one!
I find it difficult to find foundation that matches my skin... Generally I find them too orange/pink and I have a bit of an olive undertone. Do you ladies with olive undertones find the same thing? I have some blemishes on my face too and pinnk undertone foundation just DOES NOT help.
Anyways, I got studiofix liquid foundation in NC15 and MSF natural light!
Since then, I've got like 6 compliments on my makeup... Someone today even asked if I got it professionally done!!!!
All I changed was the foundation!!
(actually, I also got a paint pot at MAC, which I used as a base, so it makes my eyeshadow more vibrant).
Anyways, conclusion: MAC = amazing!!!
Just wish I could afford more of it! How do you ladies afford so much of it?!
